After the confinement lady went off, mommy was fit enough to take care of you, unlike the time mommy had jie jie. Mommy was able to bath you. Hehe! I've to admit that I feel proud to be able to do that as I wasn't fit enough to bath jie jie last time. I've to be extra careful when I carry you up from the bath tub as your body is so slippery.
Mommy love you so much. Although I'm so exhausted but everytime I think of you, you just melt my heart.
Every midnight, mommy look like a drunken woman, whose eyes are half open, carrying you and smiling away.When I carry you, your head is just right below my chin, I get to smell your hair & I love your smell. It's addictive.
You could almost sleep through the night when you're 2 months old, i.e. when the confinement lady left. I'm so proud of you.
Jie jie was down with flu, fever, conjuctivitis, HFMD during the first 2 months you're born. She just got her flu back. She loves you and likes to carry you. She always reads to you. Mommy put her into bed first every night while granny/ daddy take care of you. After jie jie is asleep, mommy will look after you and sleep downstairs till morning. Sometimes, we'll sleep upstairs when jie jie is not sick.
Here are few things mommy didn't have time to write about earlier:
Just before you're born, mommy had cramps due to dehydration, according to the nurse.
We went for holiday when mommy's 38 weeks pregnant.
After you were born the 2nd day, doc said you have jaundice. We switched hospital from Pantai Bangsar to Columbia Asia Puchong. Mommy stayed for a night in hospital with you & the confinement lady while taking care of you under the phototherapy machine. Your jaundice level was still very high. Hence, nurse advised to leave you at their nursery under phototherapy machine 24/7.
Mommy brought breast milk to you as often as possible. You're fed with both breast milk & milk powder given by the hospital as mommy hadn't produce enough milk yet. Mommy was very upset to part with you. Luckily, mommy get to hold you to feed you whenever we send milk to the nursery. You smell so nice & you're so fragile. Few days later, your jaundice level dropped & you're allowed to come home. At the same time, jie jie got conjunctivitis. Hence, you had to go to condo with the confinement lady to avoid getting the virus. Mommy was again devastated to part with you. You're only back home on the 15th day. Jie jie was still having flu and only recovered on the 4th August. Daddy was sick since the 2nd week and only recovered on the 4th August. Thank God we have a confinement lady to help. She is a good cook & a good helper.
