1 year and 8 months old

You're getting funnier each day. You like to manja with everybody.

You can say mama, I want, nen nen, daddy, jie jie, kakak, dog, bit ( bird), rarrot (carrot), beh (bear), kok kok ( knock) and xie xie(thank you).  Other words like good night, bye bye, fall down, come, etc not so accurate yet. I think you can say more than these words I've written down here but I can't recall all. 

You're really good at describing incidents with your hands, body language and expressions. For example, you knocked your chin against the bed frame. You showed us exactly what happened and we could tell from your sign language. Hahaha!

The other day, you came to mommy with tears in you eyes, unlike the normal cry when you fall down. I was anxious. You held my finger and pulled me along, from the kitchen to the living hall. There we stood infront of guilty looking jie jie who was playing with the mega blocks. You pointed at those blocks. Jie jie hasn't finished playing with those blocks but you wanted to play with them and jie jie wouldn't give them to you. So I held your hand and took you to play with other toys and you seemed alright after that. You're so cute :)

There was another day, you saw a black thing on the floor. You made an expression that shows you're afraid & went to yeh yeh for a hug. He carried you on his lap and listened to your complains. You were frowning while explaining to him about that scary thing. He patted your chest and told you there's nothing to be afraid of. The next minute, you came down and picked up that black thing to throw it into the rubbish bin. I took it from you and you got angry. So I had to give it back to you and allow you to throw it by yourself.

The way you use sign language to express the word 'change' is very cute. Also, the way you call mama makes me melt.

Sue Lynn loves you very much and will hug and kiss you so many times a day. Sometimes you try to run away and fall down.

1 year and 5 months old

Every morning, before going out from the room, you search for you water bottle & take it with you without having to tell you. I thought you to do so just couple of times and you remember. There was a time, at 4am, you wanted to go out of the room. You were already at the door and you turned back to the bed. I wonder why. Next thing I saw you holding the bottle and walk towards the door. It was dark but you manage to find your bottle yourself. Hahaha!

You can call me mama when you're desperate. The way you call kakak sounded very nice and sweet. You can call yeh yeh, nai nai, mama & kakak. WHen you want something, you say nanana.

1 year & 2 months old

You can walk by your own now but still a little wobbly. Your 1st 10 steps was on 4th Sept where you walked about 10 steps by yourself and squat on the toilet bowl to poo. Haha.Mommy & daddy sends you to da gu's house with kakak & jie jie every morning.

Every evening when mommy comes home, you will come to me and grab on to both my legs. After picking you up, you'll ask for nen nen & put your hands into mommy's shirt with a very cheeky smile.
Mommy will then go into the room to breastfeed you.

You're eating porridge with vege puree & steam pork. However, I think you're getting bored with it and now mommy will need to think of new recipes for you.

You love yogurt, cheese & apple.

You love to play dolly too. If given a gun, you'll go bang bang bang. Hahaha!

You love to dance when you like the music.

At condo, you prefer yeh yeh and nai nai to carry you to sleep instead of kakak.

You walk alot at condo & kakak has to follow you wherever you go. Then when you come home, you also walk from the front to back non-stop.

You like to brush teeth too and you like the taste of the tooth paste. Hahaha!

You have 7 teeth now. 4 at the top & 3 at the bottom.

You love to sayang jie jie when she sleeps, whether her hair, hand or foot! Hahaaha! You also love to toss and turn all over the bed when you wake up in the early morning until you fall back to sleep.

When you got a shock, you'll pat pat your chest to mean that you got a shock.

There was once I was breastfeeding you, I accidentally sang a song we've seen from the youtube several times and it was your favourite one on the iphone. Immediately, you breakfree from mommy and walked about to search for mommy's iPhone. You were so short but you manage to peep at the table top and saw the iPhone. You then pulled mommy over to carry you up to grab the iPhone. How clever!!

1 year old

Almost everyone were sick. Mommy didn't know what to do for your 1st birthday. At last, after much consideration, we decided to just invite yeh yeh, nai nai & all to our house on your birthday which fell on a Wednesday. Yeh Yeh bought a small little cake from RT bakery. It tasted really good. Da gu bought you a shirt and a pant. We decided to do it at home because you get to play with the cousins and crawl freely on the floor.

Mommy applied leave to be with you on your birthday. I know that would be the best present for you & I'm really happy to have time with you. We went shopping to get you new clothes and mommy managed to find 2 sets of really cute clothes for you. Granny bought you a pair of shoes the day before your birthday but it was too small when you put it on. So we took the shoes to the same place granny bought them to get the size changed. However, we ended up choosing another pair of shoes. It was easier to choose the right shoes with you there to try on all of them.

Mommy just started you with some flash cards. You like to grab them from mommy. So I've come up with a better idea. I played the youtube flash cards from my iPhone and put it on the iPhone dock so you can watch the flash cards from the television.

Although you still can't talk, you make it a point to make sure you get what you want by sceaming.

Every morning, when mommy, daddy & ah yi goes to work, you sure to cry horrible for few minutes. Granny said you're so pitiful. When mommy comes home, you never fail to scream for me. Alan's granny said she can hear you screaming everyday.

When ah yi comes home, you want her to carry by pointing your finger at her. Just when she carries you, you point at the door to signal her so she would bring you out to see doggies.

When you see animals like dogs or cats, you make that "oooo" sound. You understand the word dog, cat & monkey.

You can wave, you know where is your stomach & head, you can use your palm & put towards your moutht to do the sound "babababa..", you can do alot of somersault too.

Everytime in the fenced up play area, you want someone to sit in to accompany you when you're playing. On & off, you'll crawl up for a hug and go back to your toys after that. You're so manja.

When you meet strangers, you tend to shy off by leaning on mommy's chest and look at the person with the edge of your eyes. After like 5 minutes, you always decide to let the stranger carry you.

Uncle Henry likes to tickle you on your neck with his rough chin which makes you laugh hysterically.

You can't walk independently yet. But you can run very fast in your baby cot. You chew on almost everything.

There are some brown stains on your 2 top teeth. Mommy tried to remove them with tooth paste but failed. Hopefully the stain will go away soon.

You like to eat almost everything. When you see that we're preparing your food, your mouth will move and you make some sounds which makes you look gullible. Haha!

You can recognise orange, apple & kiwi from far. Daddy always forgets and eats oranges in the living hall. When you see him with the orange, you'd scream really loud to reach the orange. Hahaha. It is as if daddy is a thief and the alarm went off.

Every evening around 6:30pm, mommy reaches home and quickly showers to breasfeed you after that. Mommy then have dinner before ZY comes home. ZY comes home around 8:30pm usually. Around 9pm, you have your supper. By 9:30pm, we would be up on the bed trying to sleep.

11 months old

You have 3 teeth now and you are drooling a lot-one at the bottom, 2 at the top.

Here's your development so far:
- can stand up by your own and manage to make 2 steps forward.
- only crawl like army style instead of on your knees.
- point at places you want to go and things you want to hold.
- able to sit and listen while I hold a book & read to you.

9 months

You had 2nd round of HFMD. Initially, mommy thought you caught chicken pox from yeh yeh. He was having shingles and daddy pass you to yeh yeh on his birthday when we're at the restaurant. After seeing the doctor, he confirmed that you got HFMD and not chicken pox as the blisters were all around your elbow and knees. You started with a fever first followed by inflammed throat. Then the blisters. With all these, you still manage to eat the porrige. Doc gave you oral aid, to be taken before your meals for temporary relieve. Then mommy got HFMD from you, next was kakak Soyi, then ZY. Mommy's ulcers hurt so much and only recovered after 10 days. I think you got it from chewing daddy's laptop bag's belt. Anyway, he got rid of that bag and got a new laptop bag now.

We went back to Segamat last weekend and you only survive on bread and rice cereal. You were very playful and go on without any nap, food or drink. Hmmm. Of course, I'd still try to feed you as much as possible. Gong gong gave you ice cream. (OMG!!!) I couldn't stop him but then luckily it was like half a teaspoon. Jie jie had a wonderful time with gong gong. You don't mind strangers to carry you when you are busy looking at new surroundings

Today granny made Salmon fish porridge for you. Granny said you love it. She called to confirm if you can take fish or not. I said no. She said ok and will not give you for the next meal. Haha!!

Recently, you'd cry when mommy goes to work. Oh... I feel so heart ache..

You have been rejecting drinking milk from bottle for few months already. So, mommy bought a new bottle for you with a bigger teat. It's Tommy Tippe. Cost me about RM50. I cut the teat hole to make it bigger so you can easily drink the milk from the bottle. I'm glad you love it and start drinking milk from the bottle. Good boy!! Mommy loves you alot.

Starting the Similac and soy milk, you seem to have diarrhea. Hmm..Guess mommy really have to continue breastfeeding you until you are 2 years old. You love to be breastfed. You chuckle everytime I put you on.

When daddy carry you to make you sleep, you always will make humming sound as if you're singing.

Daddy's friend gave us those baby fence and we took it out to clean and put your walker in it. It's really useful to confine you so that you won't go everywhere and chew everything.

Do you know how much you love your jie jie ZY? You laugh no matter what she does. On the bed, you'll crawl all over her. If she's sleeping, you'll crawl over and touch her. ZY loves you so much that she doesn't mind you pull her hair.It's painful even for mommy.

Now you can move around in the baby cot, sometimes just holding on the bar with one hand. Mind you, you can't really crawl on your knees yet.

8 months old

Recently, you started to cringe your face & pretend to cry whenever something is taken away from you and the moment we return it to you, your expression is back to normal instantly. Haha!!

Last night, mommy played hide & seek with you. I was hiding in the kitchen and you were somewhere at the dining table. You love playing peek-a-boo. After awhile, you came to look for mommy. You have strong legs. Your walker doesn't have wheels but you manage to push the walker to move about. You move about to taste the things in the house!! Granny said all the tables and chairs are your snacks. You reach out to them and lick them. Of course, we always pull you away to stop you from licking further. 

You can crawl on your tummy now. You can push your body up too and do the doggy position. Your hair is so spiky. Granny said whoever has pimples on their face better stay away from you. Otherwise, their pimples will get poked by your spiky hair. Hahahaha!!! Gross, I know. But I thought it's funny too.

You've been resisting bottle since a long time ago. So granny is still feeding you breast milk with spoon. From  9am to 6pm, you consume at least 10 oz of breast milk. Besides that, you're also taking solid food like porrige with vege for breakfast and lunch, rice cereal - chicken/vege/ikan bilis flavour with breast milk for dinner.

You can sit independently about 5 seconds. Haha!! You drool alot. 

You're down with flu, cough and phlegm since Saturday. Doctor said you need to be nebulized.

Last 2 nights, daddy and I brought you to the hospital to be nebulized to get rid of the phlegm. You cried terribly. I think you dislike the mask to cover your face and the sound. You poor little thing. But the nebulizer works best if you cry. Last time when you were younger, you didn't cry when you were put on the nebulizer and the effect wasn't as good as this time. You have 4 types of medicine to take and the one which makes you vomit is the antibiotic which has little white powder in it. So mommy has to be extra careful when feeding you antibiotic, bit by bit so you won't vomit & let you rest many times in between to finish off the 3 types of medication. 

It's so difficult to put on clothes for you because you just can't lay still. You just have to turn and lay on your tummy. Luckily we have kakak Soyi to help. 

You're very playful and sometimes I think you want to be tickled or you probably want to crawl for awhile on granny's bed before you sleep. You also laugh easily especially at night.

There were 2 occasions where you suddenly cry in the middle of the night and mommy couldn't wake you up. Granny heard and quickly ran out from her room to carry you. Both of us kept calling your name and make all sorts of sounds to wake you up. You were crying in your sleep and couldn't wake up.
